new year's day—rose parade

my sister laura and my brother-in-law mark have really good friends who live at the end of the parade route. and every year, a group of their friends mark off "their spot" and head down around 10am, since that's the time the parade gets to that area. they are very organized and bring everything from coffee to bloody mary's to bagels and donuts for during the parade. and then afterwards, their friends host a delicious bbq at their home. i was very happy to be included in this yearly tradition...it was a great time and it was REALLY neat to see the floats and bands, etc. up close and personal!

my nephew david and his friend trey

my sister laura and me (just about everyone was wearing USC garb
for the big game later that day...not me! i was cheering "go penn!")

my niece mari looking pretty sassy with her juice drink

my nephew and the other kids were having a great time "high-fiving"
all the bands that were coming by...their favorite, of course,
was the U$C marching band.

Happy New Year! I just found your site and loved reading the updates and seeing all the pics of you and your family. Your niece looks so much like Aimee!

How fun! I wish I could have been there to help convince you to cheer for USC! :)
