a visit from harvey and yuki

dennis’ uncle harvey and his wife, yuki came to AZ for memorial day weekend. they took us to brunch on sunday and came over to see our home after that. it was their first time meeting little rj...it was a really nice day. thanks for the visit and for brunch...hope to see you again soon!

ryan is 7 weeks old! time is flying by...and i love to watch him grow and change. he's becoming more and more interactive. he’s very alert and tracks your every move. he smiles a lot and is trying really hard to “speak.”

a visit from nana and auntie aimee

my mom and sister came to AZ for a few days. aimee hadn’t met her new nephew yet and my mom couldn't wait to come for another visit to get her “ryan fix!” we had a wonderful time and as always, i was sad to see my family leave. we'll anxiously await their next trip out!

we had a really nice day...dennis surprised me with two beautiful cards (one from him and one from rj) and a really special gift he had designed and had made for me. it’s a white gold “R” with a diamond on the tail of the “R.” i got lucky that ryan's birthday is in april because the birthstone is a diamond!
that afternoon we went to howie and michelle’s for lunch...everyone brought something and dave did a great job of bbq-ing for the group.

to top off the wonderful day, howie completely surprised everyone (except dennis) by proposing to michelle, which dennis caught on film, well disc. :) what a great day!!!

a visit from uncle david and auntie anita

my brother and his wife came to AZ last weekend to meet their new nephew! we had a lovely visit...too short, but very nice! i know they miss ryan already (and us, of course!) so we hope they'll visit again real soon. thanks for making the trip, we loved having you here.

four weeks and smiling...

our little guy turned 4 weeks old last friday...hard to believe it's been that long already. it seems like so long ago now that i was pregnant...strange, i know. at around 3.5 weeks ryan started smiling, and it wasn't because he was gassy! he's also beginning to coo a little...too cute!
