meeting the cousins

this month, my cousins, lisa (who lives in louisville, KY) and jennifer (who lives in san francisco, CA) and their families were in scottsdale, AZ for their annual family trip.

these sweet ladies are my uncle richard’s (my mom’s brother) twin daughters. it was SO nice to see them after almost five years! and, i don’t think i had the pleasure to meet any of their kids in person (only in xmas cards!), so it was extra special!

ryan enjoyed meeting everyone...he was a very good boy and even did some of his “tricks.”

april 2010

not only did we celebrate ryan’s FIRST birthday with our families...we had a celebration at the park with our friend rylen who turned three on april 7th with our moms club group.

we also had ryan’s first “boo boo” which was inflicted by the sliding closet doors, ouch!

after the initial “OUCH, that hurt!” ryan completely forgot
about his injury, but was very fascinated with the bandage
which eventually ended up in his mouth.

and we recognized “earth day” as well.

i call this one “baby in a basket!”

another busy month for the little man...

easter 2010

since most of my family was in town for ryan’s first birthday, we continued with the family celebrations and had easter at our home on sunday. the weather was beautiful and it was so fun having everyone here.

and ryan chose that very special occasion (april 3, 2010) to FINALLY start to (really) crawl. up to that point, he had been scooting and pushing himself on his tummy, but not a real crawl. it was very exciting that so many family members were on hand to witness this milestone!
