rj’s first roadtrip...to CA!

we left for CA the friday before father’s day and all in all, ryan did very well on the ride. he had two meltdowns on the way going and only one on the way home. although we stopped a couple of times to let him stretch and change him, he was basically tired of being in his car seat for that long...who can blame him?

strapped in and ready to go!

daddy drove while i sat in back with the little guy.

dennis’ first father’s day!

for father’s day, we were at my parent’s home for a delicious bbq...my mom made armenian hamburgers which were so tasty! my family was there along with dennis’ dad, stepmom and family. it was a gorgeous day so we spent most of it in my parent’s new and improved back yard.

early father’s day celebration

since we were going to be in CA for father’s day, we celebrated early with dennis’ step dad, mom and brother. it was a simple and fun day.

two month immunizations

first, i want to thank all of our friends who responded to
my email regarding questions about immunizations. after mulling over all the advice and reading various opinions, we went ahead with rj's 2 month vaccinations, as scheduled. he got all but the rotavirus, which he’ll get at 4 and 6 months.

all in all, he did great...such a brave little guy. the first shot didn’t seem to phase him at all, but the next two...oh boy.
in the next several hours that followed he was pretty uncomfortable...just kept crying even when dennis and
i would hold and soothe him. we’re sure his little legs were pretty sore.

however, this morning, he seems like his old self again which makes his mommy and daddy very happy.
we have
a couple of months until the next round...thank goodness!

all smiles just before leaving for the doctor’s office.

here’s a video clip from the doctor’s office. rj did pretty well, considering, but as you’ll hear, mommy was pretty upset.
